[Want to chat with Jamie privately? Here is where you do it! . Jamie's office hours will be held in the art room for approximately four hours after lunch time several days a week. During that time, the room will be off-limits unless you're there to talk to Jamie.

Monday, after the meeting

[A growling griffin is knocking on the door.] Open up! I have something to ask of you.

[theoverseers]

Okay, okay, I'm coming! [It takes a moment but Jamie is quick to open the door for him.] Sorry, I keep forgetting not all of you have thumbs. [He's dressed down from his introduction the other day, going from a suit to jeans and a plain grey t-shirt smeared with fresh red-brown stains.]

What can I do for you, Griffin?

Week 1, Tuesday

[There's a polite knock on the art room door during Jamie's office hours, and a voice pipes up.]

Excuse me? Mister Jamie, you are in now, aren't you?

[theoverseers]

Just a second! [There's some scuffling noises from inside the art room, possibly a chair being pushed back, before the door opens. He's changed his clothes since the motive, shedding his cardigan to reveal a paint-stained t-shirt and swapping his slacks for faded jeans. His hair is still down and loose around his face.] Oh, Miss Crocker. Or should I just call you Jane? Which is better?

[After their meeting is the perfect time to talk to one of their captors- and considering it's Jamie that has the office hours that fit perfectly with it, he's the one Xander comes to]

Ah, so you DO actually have meeting hours.

[He kinda expected that to be a load of bs]

[Xander gets to find Jamie dragging a large paintbrush across one of the canvases set-up in the art room. He leans back in his chair, flashing a smile that looks almost apologetic. There's a steaming mug of coffee set up on a stool next to him alongside a second mug full of water.]

Yup! Just like college.

[Knock, knock.]

Hello? We had some questions, so I wanted to bring a few things up with you!

[theoverseers]

Come on in, Captain Misumaru! It's unlocked. [He still has no idea what she prefers to be called so hey, why not her actual official title?]

Tuesday

[Like hell if she's bringing this up to Bolton, that guy seems crazy. Jamie is probably no better but at least he's not going to tell the other champions. Probably.

This isn't a conversation she wants to have but she waited a couple days before bringing it up. Making sure that no one else is in the art room she asks flatly,]

Do you two have any of that vaccine on board? There's not any medical supplies here.

[She knows you know what she means, considering her champion title.]

[theoverseers]

[She catches him sitting in front of a canvas, right in the middle of taking a sip of some very hot coffee. He chokes on it a little in surprise.] Uh, [He clears his throat.] Yes, we do. And if you need it to keep your...condition? Condition under control we can give it to you.

Tuesday

[After the motive announcement, Margulis is pretty sure he needs to talk to the Overseer who wasn't gleefully handing out bribes for murder. Compared to his hostility toward Bolton, his knocking on the door an hour after lunch sounds downright polite.]

[During this week McBurn is going to stop on in to speak with Jamie because he thinks Jamie is the most likely to be convinced with the reason he has to give.

He's not going to bother with pleasantries because he's not that sort of person with how much he dislikes conversations.]

Look, I want to find out if we can request to have some area suitable for training and practicing combat.

[theoverseers]

[McBurn manages to catch him right in the middle of stuffing cup noodles into his mouth. He swallows his food quickly, somehow managing not to choke.]

Um, I can put in a request with the Benefactors but I can't make any promises.

Thursday afternoon

[He's going to bug the chill one now and see if he can't get something interesting out of this, too. Again, he'll be taking notes, but he won't start off all huffy with his incentive. That's locked in his trunk now. ...Along with Bolton's mug. Because.

And if Bolton knows this is happening and grips his stupid mug tight enough to crack, then honestly, all the better.]

Sport helmets. That's unexpected. Did you have those lying around? [Start off casually. Also, it's kind of a pertinent question, because either those showed up somehow or he just...had them already??]

[theoverseers]

I put in a request to the Benefactors actually.

[Jamie looks almost relaxed today...at least moreso than he was at the motive the other day. He's just sort of sitting in front of an easel and canvas, his attention firmly on the project he's painting.] I thought they might come in handy.

Wednesday, post-Boon

Mind if I pop in for a minute?

[Doctor, that only works if you're not letting yourself in anyway.]

[He's got one of the helmets held in one hand.]

It occurs to me that you an' I haven't had the chance to chat yet, Jimmy-boy. Figured it might be best to correct that.

Uh-

[Hi, Doctor, you've caught him on a break. He's sitting in front of an easel and clearly has things set-up to paint something but there's a mug of something steamy in his hand and a copy of Needful Things open in his hand. He looks like a startled baby dear.]

Sure? And it's Jamie actually.

[ Thomasin spends about fifteen minutes trying to figure out if she should, in fact, ask questions of the Overseers, and about two of them are spent near the art room door, dithering. The thought that someone will see her lingering, whether she follows through or not, finally gets her to rap on the door. ]

Goodman Fell?

[ At some point she realized he had a last name! ]

[theoverseers]

[There's no response right away. It takes almost a solid minute for any sounds to come from behind the door and when the door eventually slides open an out of breath Jamie is there, dressed in a paint-stained t-shirt and jeans with a pair of large headphones covering his ears. A long cord from the headphones to his pocket.]

Hi, hi, sorry, sorry, I got caught up- [He stops, pulling off his headphones when he realizes who it is. The volume is loud enough that music can be heard softly coming from his headphones.] Oh. Uh, good morning, Thomasin.

Sunday

[Something seems...off about Margulis today, and he's carrying...is that a large pot full of ashes? when he enters the art room.]

Fell, I would ask a favor on behalf if all of us who must continue to live here.

[theoverseers]

[Jamie is hunched forward in his chair when Margulis walks in, face resting in his hands. There's a canvas and easel set-up, with paint and a metal palette on another chair beside him. None look like they've been touched that day.

He lifts his head when Margulis speaks.]

Hm?

Sunday, Week 3

What happened to Rose.

[Sorry Jamie, he's not being polite this week. There's definitely an air of agitation -maybe a touch of mania?- around him when he lets himself into the art room this time.]

She would've been with me when I was brought here, I'm sure of it now. What did you do with her.

[theoverseers]

[Jamie isn't reading or painting this time when the Doctor first busts in. He's hunched in his chair, art project untouched while he stares down at his PIP with a furrowed brow and his right hand at his mouth, like he's in the middle of gnawing on his nails.

And in the span of a few seconds he goes from that intense focus to jumping just about a mile in the air.]

Shit-! What?

Week 3, Thursday

[Howdy howdy guess who's coming in here for a visit again

Jane knocks first, of course, but it's a hesitant knock. She hasn't been in here since they found Chitanda...but, she's willing to put her feelings aside to ask some questions. It's important, especially in the wake of what happened to Sadie.]

Mister Jamie? You are in today, aren't you?

[theoverseers]

[Jane is stuck waiting for a long few minutes in silence. When the door finally opens Jamie is looking worse for wear today. His hair is pulled back but the ponytail is unkempt and there are prominent dark shadows under his eyes. Today he isn't wearing his painting clothes. In fact it looks like he's still wearing the last shirt she saw him in Wednesday evening, just with a pair of paint-splattered jeans instead of pajama pants.]

Hey, yeah. Sorry. Come on in, Miss Crocker.

Sunday, Week 4

[As soon as the office hours start, Lightning just walks right into the room and closes the door behind her. If Jamie cares to notice, Lightning might look mad, but her eyes appear more puffy from crying.

She tosses one of the benefactor 'gifts' onto the table. It happens to be the condoms she gotten a few days earlier.]

This isn't funny. What the hell kind of gift is this? Or any of that other stuff besides my clothes? Do they think it's funny to harass some of us like this?

[theoverseers]

[Jamie hasn't even gotten to touch his painting set-up when Lightning comes in. He looks surprised to see her right up until the condoms come out.]

The Benefactors...don't have the most subtle sense of humor. So yeah, they do think it's funny. [He at least doesn't sound like he does.] If you want I can put in a request for some of your real clothes. I don't know if it'll do any good but it can't hurt to try.

[He does, in fact, care to notice how puffy her eyes are but he's not sure if he should bring it up. Lightning is kind of a badass and a little terrifying.]

Week 5, Wednesday night

[Bolton finds Jamie on their side of the station after his dance lesson. He's got one hand in his pocket.]

Hey, J. Did you ever find your iPod?

[theoverseers]

Nnnno? I looked all over my room and the art room, couldn't find it.

I need a way to send a few messages back home. Is there any way to do that?

[Not even a greeting]

Good afternoon to you too, Togami. [He peers around the canvas he's been painting on for the past several weeks.] Right now? No, we don't have a way to send messages back home.
