[Want to chat with Jamie privately? Here is where you do it! . Jamie's office hours will be held in the art room for approximately four hours after lunch time several days a week. During that time, the room will be off-limits unless you're there to talk to Jamie.

[There's pacing now as Lightning crosses her arms.]

First that 'personal massager' and now this? Why would I need-[she motions to the condoms]-those things when I'm not even dating someone! And that giant tube of 'space lube'? How the hell am I supposed to get that out of my room without half the people left in this place seeing it?

[There's just too much stress right now. She feels ready to cry again.]

I don't even care if I get my clothes back. I just want them to stop implying that I have those kinds of thoughts or feelings for someone to use to things with! This isn't like Margulis and McBurn. [And who the hell are they shipping her with?]

[theoverseers]

[Okay, he's getting a good idea what's going on here and it's not just about condoms. He sits back on his stool, letting her pace and vent.]

Technically you don't really need someone else to use them with. [He says it under his breath then reaches down under his stool and pulls out a small box of tissues, extending it out to her just in case she wants one.] I'm sorry they're giving you such a hard time, Lightning.

[It's not like she has anyone else to vent to. Sorry Jamie.

She's not sure she wants the tissues just yet. But she'll grab one with a quiet thanks before looking down for a moment.]

... My sister... I woke up with the memory that she died. And it's my fault. I gave her the Eyes of Seeress... I didn't think it would be what killed her. Whatever she saw in the future... I woke up at the end of the world. My world is dying, Serah is dead, and it's my fault. [With a sigh she stands straighter.] I'll fix it. When I get out of here, I'll fix all of it.

[theoverseers]

I get it. I really do. [He's been watching her the entire time she's been talking but now he lowers his gaze, gripping the tissue box just a little tighter.] If anything happened to Cindy, I...I don't think I could handle it either.

But, Lightning, you know what will happen if you try to escape the way they want you to. Don't forget that.

[Cindy?] You have a sister?

[She goes quiet at that, remembering the promise she made Xander earlier. Her hand balls up into a fist.]

I know. I pray that there is not motive that would drive me to that extreme. No on here deserves to die. [Though if she were honest...] If it comes to that and I have to kill... I'm not going to make it easy on them to find out who did it and why. Serah might hate me for it, but I will not back down, just like McBurn.

[theoverseers]

[Jamie nods a little, unclenching his right hand from the tissue box and bringing it up to lightly chew the already gnawed down nail of his ring finger.] Yeah. Big sister in fact. You remind me a lot of her actually. [Tall, intimidating, driven, a little terrifying, incredibly protective and loving toward younger sibling- the list goes on.]

I wouldn't expect any less from you. But I really, really hope it doesn't come to it.

Is she in a safe place? [Because otherwise she's sorry. It feels awful not having a sibling to go back to.]

So do I.

The last time I talked to her she was finishing up her residency at the best hospital in the state so yeah, she's safe. [He's smiles a little now, his tone affectionate and just a bit sad.]

My sister was accepted at a prestigious university on Cocoon. She was working on becoming a teacher. [She herself can't help but smile.] Seems we both have sisters who want to help in their own way... Doctors and teachers are both pretty important.
