[Want to chat with Jamie privately? Here is where you do it! . Jamie's office hours will be held in the art room for approximately four hours after lunch time several days a week. During that time, the room will be off-limits unless you're there to talk to Jamie.

[... he's even more surprised by the mundane-ness of the scene, and makes his way over, curious to see what is being painted]

I can't say I know the term, but I suppose it doesn't matter. Are you open for a few questions?

[You get more flies with honey, and unless Jamie antagonizes him he intends to play this diplomatically]

[The canvas is blank but there's a definite sheen of fresh white paint on it and a large, very pale grey oval in the center. Jamie himself has a metal paint palette balanced on his arm with globs of various paint colors covering the tarnished surface. Another chair with some paint brushes is on the opposite side of the mug stool.]

University might make more sense to you I guess? Maybe. [Jamie, stop. Shut up.] Uh, sure. Ask away.

Ah, yes I know that term.

[which makes all the talk of experiments all the more unpleasant. But anyways-]

It came up in conversation that there are... discrepancies in our profiles. And based on that some are concerned that our memories might be suspect.

I wish to confirm or deny their suspicions.

[theoverseers]

[Jamie is quiet for a moment, rolling the heavy paintbrush between his fingers before tapping it against the yellow paint on the palette and starts tapping it against the canvas.]

Yeah, your memories were messed with for the experiment.

[kingshaming]

[Xander makes a noise low in his throat. Gods, how much was he missing?! And just before Corrin's first time out of the fortress- or for all he knew that was already long past.

For all he knew the war was over. For all he knew-]

Then you must tell me the state of Nohr as it is now. And don't try to say you don't know- if you know my measurements and about my damned cat, then you know this!

[theoverseers]

Okay, okay. [Jamie's voice is soft and calm, the same tone he used with Thomasin during the introduction meeting that first day. He sets the brush in one of the mugs and turns on his PIP, sliding his finger across the screen until he finds what he wants then makes it a point to look Xander straight in the face.] "The state of Nohr, as it currently stands, is at peace."

[kingshaming]

[he visibly relaxes, relief washing over him.

Still, something is off about it. While the war only officially started when King Sumeragi was killed, he can't say he recalls a time when Nohr was ever truly in a state of peace- maybe when he was a young child, if that.]

Then... the war is over?

[How much time was he missing!?]

[theoverseers]

[He nods.]

The war is over and Nohr and Hoshido are at peace. Does that make you feel a little better, Prince Xander?

... it does, though I can't say I fully believe you. Still, you've given me something to think about.

[theoverseers]

You don't have to believe me. [He reaches over to pick up his coffee cup off the stool.] But I hope knowing your home is safe makes you feel better.
